Why I created MAP

"The only joy in the world is to begin"
Cesare Pavese

In response to a challenge of how can we teach creativity, in 1995 (before the internet took off properly) I started collecting material related to Creativity and Innovation. I ended up with boxes and boxes of stuff.

Whilst I really enjoy collecting, I knew that I would, one day, have to sort it all out. That is not something I find easy! I laid out numerous mind maps across my dining room table trying to decide where things went.

What you see now is the culmination of that effort. I ended up with seven MAP categories or elements purely by accident. No great plan from the outset.
