Flexibility improves creativity by metaphorically shifting mental
gears. To think about problems in different ways. Not to be constrained
to a particular attack on a problem.
In terms of the creative athlete, one must practice speed training and running fast and slow. One's thinking must be subtle. Mental muscles should be loose ready for powered thinking. There should not be a set plan for the race rather a readiness to change as required. Many mental resource strategies should be available with be power ready to burst out of the starting blocks.
It is useful to be able to move laterally and be comfortable using differing tactics and
be able to switch on the fly. |
